When you teach a boy, you teach an individual, but when you teach a girl, you teach an entire family.
This is a fact universally acknowledged that education happens to be one of the most empowering tools that can revolutionize anybody’s life. Good education doesn’t only help individuals to make better decisions in their lives, but it also enables them to pursue their dreams in a more passionate manner. What is unfortunate however is that a lot of people do not consider women’s education as important as male’s. Since the girls decided role in the society is to cater to family and do the domestic chores, a girl’s education, especially in the rural areas of India, is always put in the periphery.
Before one starts to emphasize the need of education for women, it might also be insightful to underline that the lack of education weaken them and take away from them, the agency to make decisions for themselves. A good education does not only make women a more respectful citizen of the society, but she also finds herself in a more powerful situation to take command on her situations in her life. There is a huge need to focus on NGO for women empowerment in our country.
It has been often observed that a lot of women want to study but cannot pursue the same because of multiple social and political inhibitions. A major part of rural India does not believe in the idea of educating of women as they somehow associate it with feeding a woman’s mind with profane ideas. This, however, doesn’t stand true. We have had multiple instances in the history where women have made mark for themselves and have been successfully running the government, their offices, as well as their homes.
Geetanjali Care, a non-profit organisation in Delhi, does understand the gravity of the requirement of education in a girl’s life. A girl who is able to get quality education can substantially improve the quality of her life in particular, and can send across a constructive message in the society, in general. Geetanjali Care, a team of passionate and dedicated volunteers, has established ties with multiple successful institutions that have been working in the department of girls’ education, girls’ health and girls’ hygiene quite mindfully. All her requirements related to education, such as uniform, stationery, educational resources, are to be taken care of by the NGO. It is expected that easy accessibility of the facilities will definitely encourage girls to attend school and get themselves acquainted with better knowledge and better lives.
